About the Artist
Kim Bird was born and raised in Rochester, Minnesota where she graduated from Mayo High School studying batik art. She went on to attend the Minneapolis College of Art and Design majoring in Fashion Design , Graphic Design and Photography. After working for the US Forest Service in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area of northern Minnesota, she and her husband moved to the Pacific Northwest and raised two lovely daughters. While living in Idaho, Kim designed costumes for productions at The Old Opera House Theatre in Kooskia. Following a move to Michigan in 2005, she enrolled herself in watercolor classes and has enjoyed painting ever since. Kim is a member of Northern Michigan Art Guild and has displayed her work locally. |
